Minnows & ME
Parent / Tot
In this fun and foundational class, parents and babies will
cover: water exploration, breath control, water movement and
safety skill. A great beginning to loving the water for life!
Both parents are welcome to participate in the 30 minute class.
Our classes encourage bonding between parent and child while
teaching submersion, back floating and basic water safety. We
instruct the parent on how to teach the child.
Our Minnows &
Me program is divided into 3 distinct classes; M&M 1 for
children 3-months to 12-months, M&M 2/3 for children 13-months
to 36-months and M&M T for children 3 to 4 years. These students
may not yet be ready to have an aquatic experience without a
parent with them. Each level is a building block on the previous
level and is designed to make the transition from parent to
individual lessons as smooth as possible.
Rainbow Fish
Pre-School Aged
The Rainbow Fish program is designed for children age 3 to
Kindergarten and offers 9 levels of skill progression. We have a
target ratio of 4:1 to ensure our quality of instruction.
Children will be instructed in water safety, as well as proper
technique of the four competitive strokes. Learning to work with
the water so our students will gain confidence is our main
focus.
Sea Critters
School Aged
The Sea Critters program is designed for children in First
through Sixth grade. We maintain a target of 4:1 within our Sea
Critter program as well. With a 10 level progression, we teach
our Sea Critters proper technique for all four competitive
strokes and turns. The skills learned will prepare our students
for a lifetime of healthy activity and, if desired, will
properly prepare them for a competitive experience.
We use a computerized certificate program to track the
skill progression of each student within our Rainbow Fish and
Sea Critter programs.
Stroke Clinics Competitive
Stroke Development
We offer 60-minute stroke clinics for children who desire a more
challenging lesson. We work on all four strokes and turns.
Swimmers, 6 to 8 years, should be able to swim at least one
length freestyle, with proper side breathing and one length
backstroke comfortably. Swimmers 9 and older should be able to
swim butterfly and breaststroke as well.
Private Lessons
We offer private lessons for children already enrolled in our
program to compliment their weekly activity. If a child is
having trouble mastering a skill or skills, we may suggest a
private lesson of 30, 45, or 60 minutes to assist them in a
one-on-one situation.
Water Aerobics
Combine the therapeutic benefits of water and exercise to
strengthen, stretch and condition your body in a safe,
low-impact environment. Water resistance requires you to utilize
opposing muscle groups at the same time when involved in water
exercise. Water exercise is great for all ages and fitness
levels. It is also ideal for those rehabilitating from surgery
or those requiring physical therapy. Ask your doctor about the
benefits of water exercise.
